The fact is, after nearly 300,000 installations since the early 1960s, not a single leak has been attributed to internal or external corrosion.

The CSI fiberglass tank wall is composed of premium resin, glass and a specially treated silica. This composite matrix is compatible with:

  • petroleum products
  • gasoline
  • jet fuel
  • av-gas
  • motor oil
  • kerosene
  • diesel fuel
  • ethanol and/or methanol blends
  • up to and including 100% oxygenated motor fuels

Fiberglass Tanks Simply WILL NOT RUST:
Fiberglass Tanks Simply will not rust – inside or out. And that’s what you need to remember when comparing fiberglass underground storage tanks and underground tanks made from steel.

Maintenance costs:
Because fiberglass tanks are not susceptible to rust, the repair or relining of the tank due to rust will never be required. No electronic monitoring or anode replacement is needed.

Strength:
Properly installed, fiberglass tanks are strong enough to withstand constant traffic from the heaviest over-the-road vehicle (H-20 axle loads-32,000 lbs/axle). Fiberglass underground tanks were designed to meet specific performance criteria in dry or wet holes when properly installed with approved backfill materials.
