LEED provides a complete framework for assessing building performance and meeting sustainability goals. Based on a system of prerequisites and credits, LEED projects earn points during the certification process and then are awarded one of the four certification levels: Certified, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Water management is a significant component of the LEED program. Depending on the application(s), underground water storage tanks can be used to fulfill several LEED categories.

Combining Products to meet your Needs:
In addition to the water tank line of products, Containment Solutions offers oil/water separators, manholes and wetwells which can be combined with Flowtite tanks to create a complete water efficiency system. There are numerous examples of CSI products being used in new ways such as concealing pumps, filtering or managing water flow and various other uses. In the specific project below, a CSI manhole is a critical component of a fire protection system. We have manufactured petroleum and diesel storage tanks for fueling stations and truck stops for years, but our petroleum tanks can also store standard as well as alternative fuels for generators to run a building’s power or water system or both. Oil/water separators and interceptors can be used for car wash water reuse or to treat water runoff by filtering out contaminants.
