- Fiberglass manholes will withstand far more weight than a fully loaded cement truck. ASTM D3753 requires a 40,000 lb. load, placed eccentrically on the manhole with no failure.

- Fiberglass manholes are far lighter than concrete, about 60 pounds per vertical foot.
- Light weight makes installation easier, safer, and less costly.
- No need for heavy equipment.
- Less manpower required to move and install the manhole.

- These joints - every four feet - are the source of most leaks.
- Fiberglass manholes have no joints.

Will Not Float:
- Better safety factor against float out than concrete manholes.
- Far smaller wall thickness than concrete means a decrease in volume displacement.
- Decrease in buoyant forces on fiberglass manholes.
