ReTank®

ReTank® is an on-site retrofit system which allows you to turn any Containment Solutions, Owens Corning or other manufacturers’ fiberglass single-wall tank into a hydrostatically monitored double-wall tank. Benefits include reducing costs of tank replacement and using existing tanks for multiple types of fuel.

With CSI’s ReTank system, a fiberglass inner tank is constructed in sections and then installed in your existing tank while it is still in the ground. While in your tank, CSI technicians perform a full inspection, upgrade all fittings to current standards, and install all the safeguards of our newest double-wall tanks. You get the benefits of the safest fiberglass tanks – which never rust – for a much lower investment.

ReTank is UL Listed and includes a new 30-year warranty on the new inner tank

Installing a second fiberglass tank, within an existing fiberglass tank, gives you double the protection with:

  • Proven corrosion and structural performance
  • Proven compatibility with methanol, ethanol and all oxygenated motor fuels (see warranty)
  • Future access to all tank top fittings and equipment
  • Hydrostatic pressure, air pressure, vacuum, or dry sensor monitoring of annular space

Hydrostatic Monitoring – By installing the optional reservoir, the brine solution can be added. This solution is dyed a deep green and is easy to detect should there be a breach of the inner tank.

Throughout the life of the tank, brine solution continuously monitors the integrity of both tank walls. If optional electronic monitoring systems are installed, an alarm will sound if the brine level changes.

Optionally, air pressure can be applied to the annulus and a soap inspection of the inner tank performed.
